Morning. Terrible night. Boys up three times (Thomas, with a conviction that 12, 1, and 3 are morning), and Nat (nightmare at four about being forbidden to play in the Muppet's band), plus nursing wakeups for the girls.

On the extreme bright side, the girls have gained nearly a pound each since last week. The doctor said, unbelievingly, "This is just from breastfeeding?"

So yay! Miriam's five and a half pounds and Elizabeth is six and a half.

I need more tea.

Sorry about all the wake-ups, but great news about the girls' weight gain!

I feel for you. Hang in there - hope you still have lots of help.

You should have told your doctor you were supplementing their diet with liver, spinach, and pork fat. Much more nutritious than breast milk, y'know. (Of course, it would be terrible if he believed you).

Hah. I'm going to start telling people, very seriously, that I feed them lard with a spoon.

We do have lots of help, thank God. I've got extra adults staying with us for another week and a half, and then I have to start coping on my own- and even then we're going to have volunteers coming in. It's very good, because today I feel like all i've done is nurse the babies every five minutes.
