Into the open air to rake leaves, and after will bundle everyone up to drop things off at Value Village (purging in preparation for Advent and then Christmas), and a stop at the Hobby Shop.
I'm using the computer and its endless distractions as a hiding place from mess and chaos and children, and I'm pondering an Advent fast from it in times when all children are awake. This would be penitential and probably lead to less acting-out from the children, who understandably dislike me turning my back on them as I look up something really important, like Captain Jack Harkness's timeline or whether anyone has ever deep-fried lettuce (answer: yes).
