Last night we had screaming cranky babies for hours, and then Nat with a horrible blood sugar low combined with night terrors or something. That made him unable to drink or eat anything, no matter how much we shouted (shouting at someone to JUST DRINK THE JUICE!!! at three in the morning is a blast), phoned the diabetes doctor on call at Sick Kids, gave him the medicine Glucagon, which forces the liver to dump glucose. It makes you feel sick.
Half an hour later he threw up all over his bed. And then another half hour later he did it again. Geoff took the day off work to take care of us. I'm sick, too, and have been pretty useless. All of this is redeemed by finding a Vietnamese place near here that delivers. If they make good pho I will personally keep them in business. i am scrambling eggs for the kids.
Nat's feeling better, but since I lowered his dose this morning his blood sugar has been through the roof all day. We've been watching a lot of Phineas and Ferb, and i have been holding down furniture.
