New signs

On disaster days (say, when you have at least two sick children who were awake every forty minutes all night), and it looks like no housekeeping or child-taking-care-of has happened, I think there should be little tags to hang around the house, something like, "I actually swept this floor" or, "Tried to finish putting away a load of laundry", or "Read five storybooks aloud", or "Got everyone dressed over their strenuous objections". One of the depressing things about really tired survival days is that it looks like I haven't done anything, even though I probably will have at least done the minimum chores plus Nat's injections and testing plus dressing, feeding, and wrangling the four very small children.

It's a good thing they're cute and snuggly. Must survive till bed time.
