Hi! I'm definitely a lurker. I live in Ottawa, have a boy about the same age as Thomas, and also lurk on the SDMB too. :-) Sorry to hear you're feeling lonely. Only talking to children for days at a time can really be draining, even if you're talking to them in adult language (not baby talk, I mean!).Hang in there, spring is almost here!
This is totally out of nowhere, but I know you have trouble getting the kids to eat veggies. Have you ever tried the cauliflower/potato mash? If they'll eat potatoes, that is! Supposedly the veg mix right in w/taters and kids don't know they're eating em. don't have a recipe for you, but if you search on mashed cauliflower, you should get one. Good luck!
I cook different veggies into things like chili or pasta sauce. Broccoli and sometimes cauliflower are two vegetables which my children actually will eat, but I should do a cauliflower potato mash soon. I love cauliflower.Hello, Ruth and heater2000! Okay, who else is out there?
Meeee! I'm here! I'm an SDMB lurker too! I live in Japan and have two big boys now. I've been reading your blog for ages. I am a bad blog commenter, I read and think, "I should comment on that later" - and you know how that goes.My blog is a bit out of date but I've been attempting to catch up. I so admire you for keeping the habit of writing at least SOMETHING most days.
Hi Lissla! I am not a total lurker but I haven't commented in a while. I have a hard time commenting -- takes me longer than posting on my own blog. But I love reading your takes on your life.
Thanks, Vicki. It helps keep me sane. Sane-ish. It's the only journal I've managed to keep going, and I'm grateful I have, because now I have a record of almost ten years of my life.Willa, I've been seeing Clare's pictures on Facebook and I love them. I think I met Clare on Sense and Sensibility when she was twelve? And now she's graduated and married...Okay, other people? I know you're out there! I have blog stats! This includes you, Colleen!
Hallo Lissla,I am a lurker, too. From Germany. No kids myself, reading quite regulary here and always hoping you survived another day! :-)
Taxi's here! I read regularly but don't often have much to say.
Welcome! It is very cool to meet you, Zagorka. From Germany. I read what you said to my husband and he was giggling.Sorry. Not giggling. That isn't manly and tough.Hi, taxi! Good to see you, too.
