The care coordinator told me yesterday that my Power of Attorney isn't valid because it wasn't done by a lawyer. I am annoyed and also nearly positive that she's wrong- there is nothing in the legal documents from the Government of Ontario website with the forms on it that specify you need a lawyer, just witnesses.

Just read the province's FAQ on the subject. Looks like you're right.

You can let CCAC know that I've figured it out for them, and they can call me any time if they have any other questions. I charge $200 an hour, one hour minimum.
